On creative expression and finding creative inspiration
You were born uniquely creative. Yes, that’s right.
Even if you think you are the least ‘creative’ person in the obvious sense like knowing how to paint, draw, write, etc., you express your creativity in a combination of ways that is unique to you.
✨ I believe our purpose in life is to experience growth and personal transformation through creative and authentic expression of our true selves.
For me, I express my creativity in the following ways:
Mixing and matching clothing items to create new outfits
Sharing my thoughts through blogging and journaling
Developing and publishing YouTube videos
Picking and arranging pieces of furniture
Choosing and arranging furniture, homewares, and art that reflect who I am throughout my home
Cooking meals for family and friends
Setting up the table nicely for meals
In terms of where I draw creative inspiration from, there are many sources in my environment! Here are my top picks:
1 /
Browsing around in book stores
2 /
Admiring beautiful cinematography in movies and documentaries
3 /
Exploring local neighbourhoods
4 /
Taking walks in nature
5 /
Reflecting on meaningful conversations with loved ones
7 /
Shopping at local markets
Inspiration surrounds us, but what’s more important than seeking it is using it as a driving force to create more opportunities to share the most special and unique parts of ourselves with the world.
By sharing who you are with the world, you contribute to diversity of thought, you build connection with others around you, and in turn inspire others.
This is how magic is created ✨
